The truth is, less than one percent of academy players ever become professional footballers.
So to get here, you must be determined.
ADB Football Academy
Developing young talents into skilled professional footballers.
In football, legacy begins with simple movements, the rhythm of the feet, the balance of the body, the timing of each turn.
What looks small today becomes technique tomorrow, and technique repeated becomes identity.
Fridays now end with a simple routine everyone looks forward to. Icecream
After the week’s hard work, players and coaches cool down together with ice cream, unwind in the heat, and close the week in a relaxed spirit.
It has become part of our rhythm, work hard, recover well, enjoy the moment.
Small group sessions are where details are sharpened.
Closer coaching, higher intensity, more repetition, every movement matters, every correction counts, and every player is pushed to improve in the smallest details that make the biggest difference.
Fitness for lunch, anyone?
The lungs are burning, and the legs are heavy, but this is where real strength is built.
No shortcuts. Fitness first. Strong body, strong mind.
Talent alone is never enough.
If you want to be noticed and move closer to becoming a professional footballer, you must first be competing regularly in a proper team environment because talent that nobody sees is difficult to discover.
Your fitness must also separate you. Modern football demands strength, speed, endurance, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Challenge yourself by playing against older and stronger players. Growth happens when you leave your comfort zone.
Most importantly, protect yourself while chasing your dream. If you are under 18, never deal directly with agents alone — always let a parent or guardian handle communication and decisions. Safeguarding matters.
Work hard. Stay patient.
Keep improving.
Your moment will come.
Play beautiful. ⚽

Cape Coast is where organised football in Ghana first began.
Football in Ghana first took root in Cape Coast, a historic coastal town shaped by trade, colonial rule, and the painful legacy of the Atlantic slave trade.
British officers, merchants, and sailors regularly arrived by ships and often played football in their spare time near the coast, around the grounds that later became known as Victoria Park.
Young people in Cape Coast were already learning the game by watching British sailors and colonial officers play near what became Victoria Park.
In 1903, the first officially recorded football club in Ghana — Excelsior Football Club — was formed in Cape Coast by schoolboys who trained quietly before playing their first organised match against Europeans.
From those first matches, Cape Coast became one of the foundations of football culture in Ghana. Early clubs such as Gardens, Swallows, Rose XI and others carried that spirit forward, turning the city into one of the true birthplaces of Ghanaian football history.
That is why what we are building at ADB Football Academy matters. We are not starting football in Cape Coast, we are continuing a story that began more than a century ago, now creating opportunity for the next generation of female players to rise from the same city where Ghana first learned to play.
The history is deep. The responsibility is real. The future must also come from here. ⚽
Our Coaches🤩
Our real jewels are the leaders investing their time, energy and care into developing these girls:
Head Coach BA and Welfare Officer JD. Their experience, passion and daily presence are shaping the culture of what we are building.
Always working, always observing, always guiding, often under the Cape Coast sunshine.
Our Academy process is clear, structured, and built for serious player development. As our Director, James Adabie, explains:
First, players train within the academy environment and are assessed, and those who show the right attitude will earn the opportunity to officially sign with the academy, receiving academy training gear and football boots.
After 12 months of consistent progress, selected players may have the opportunity to sign with adbsportsgroup, where the pathway becomes even more professional.
From there, players can earn opportunities to attend trials with clubs in Europe and other parts of the world. Throughout every stage, we support, protect, and manage your brand, your growth, and your future.
No shortcuts. Just real development. Real opportunity. Real football.
Off season is where real habits are built.
One-to-one work, technical details, repetition, and time on the ball, because improvement starts when players learn to love training, not just matches.
As a coach, it is always good to see players who are committed, present, and willing to keep working when nobody is watching. That dedication matters.

Not all football boots are built the same.
Choosing the right pair should match your level, your needs, how often you play, and of course the price.
(Elite) boots use the most advanced technology: premium lightweight materials, tighter fit, sharper ball feel, and high-performance soleplates designed for maximum responsiveness.
(Pro) boots keep much of that performance, but with slightly simpler materials and less premium finishing.
(Academy) level boots are often the smartest choice for regular players, durable, comfortable, and built for strong weekly training.
(Club) boots are ideal for beginners, extra pairs, or casual use, simpler technology, but still effective.
A great player in the right boot always beats an expensive boot on the wrong foot...and the best boot is the one that fits your foot properly, suits your surface, and gives you confidence in movement.
