The Rise of Godsway Hini “Aguero” — Volta’s Next Big Export

The Volta Region Division Two League better enjoy him while it can. Godsway Hini, nicknamed “Aguero” for reasons that become obvious once he touches the ball, looks too good to stay down much longer.

On Sunday at the Youth and Resource Centre, Hini wrote his name into Master Minds FC folklore.

In a tense, high-stakes final, he was the heartbeat of their historic 2-0 victory over Lucky Stars that sealed the 2025/2026 Adaklu District Football Association-ADFA Division Three Middle League title. When the game needed control, he gave it. When it needed a spark, he lit it.

Off the pitch, Hini is quiet.

Reserved, even.
But put the ball at his feet and the kid transforms. Close control that sticks like glue, vision that breaks lines, and a calmness under pressure you don’t teach — you’re born with it.

He reads the game two passes ahead, slips between markers, and makes the difficult look routine.

Master Minds FC just made history, and Hini was the engine room.

If this final was his audition, every Division Two scout in Volta should’ve been taking notes.
