For years, I believed givers never lack, but life taught me otherwise. I discovered that generosity is a posture, not a transaction. Being kind and giving does not automatically protect a person from hardship, disappointment, or the consequences of poor decisions. Many times, I gave freely yet found that, in my own difficult moments, only God showed up consistently for me. That experience taught me that generosity must be guided by wisdom, boundaries, discernment, and accountability. A good heart is valuable, but without wisdom, even generous people can experience avoidable pain.
