We are so happy to see our previous Europa Hockey kits being put to good use by a women’s hockey team in Africa. What was once part of our journey here in Gibraltar is now helping another group of women create their own memories on the pitch.💜

🌍🏑 Masters World Cup Silver for Billie! 🥈

Back in July, our very own Billie represented Alliance O40s at the Masters World Cup, helping her side to a fantastic silver medal after narrowly falling to Argentina in the final. 🇦🇷

Playing at CAM, Billie made her mark throughout the tournament, scoring 2 goals, including one against Australia!🔥

A little throwback to our end-of-season celebrations back in June, where we recognised the players who went above and beyond throughout the season.

A historic moment for Gibraltar Hockey and a proud day for Europa.

A week ago today, history was made as Gibraltar Hockey women hosted the first officially sanctioned international hockey fixtures ever played on the Rock. Among those representing Gibraltar were nine Europa players, making it an unforgettable occasion for both club and country.

The journey began three years ago in Croatia, where Gibraltar Women made their international debut under the guidance of our Head Coach, who continues to play a key role in the growth of the national programme. Last week, he once again contributed to Gibraltar’s success, serving as Assistant Coach, while our goalkeeper, Zamara Espinosa, also stepped up to umpire both fixtures against Morocco. 🇲🇦

From those first steps in Croatia to hosting international hockey in Gibraltar, progress has been made, and the future is full of promise. ✨

Special congratulations to Jacob Read, Christian and .head5, whose hard work and vision helped make this historic milestone possible. Their efforts have played a big part in bringing international hockey to Gibraltar and inspiring the next generation of players.

A little later than planned, but this post deserves its own spotlight.✨

A huge congratulations to our goalkeeper, who also represented Gibraltar as an umpire at last month. Her performances throughout the tournament saw her selected to officiate one of the finals between Ukraine and Croatia, a fantastic achievement and recognition of the high standards she consistently demonstrates.

Following the tournament, she also received an excellent assessment report, further highlighting the quality of her work.

What makes this achievement even more special is that it has been built on years of commitment to umpiring locally. Week after week, she gives her time to officiate matches, develop her skills and support hockey in Gibraltar, and it’s great to see that dedication rewarded on the international stage.

We’re incredibly proud of everything she has achieved, both as a player and as an umpire. Congratulations! 👏🏑🇬🇮
