Special Olympics Cafe is looking for a friendly, reliable person to join our team.

📍 Special Olympics Complex, 1a Grandy Close, Gibraltar
🕒 32 hours per week

The role:

Preparing hot food to our recipes and standards
Serving customers with a warm welcome and a smile
Keeping our cafe and kitchen clean, welcoming and well maintained
Working as part of a close, friendly team

About you:

Positive, reliable and punctual
Comfortable in a fast-moving kitchen and cafe
Experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person
Eligible to work in Gibraltar
English and Spanish are a bonus

Sallyann Mauro has returned to work after participating at the Special Olympics European Swimming Open Malta 2026! 🇲🇹

Here she stands outside the SOG Sports Complex proudly showing off the medals she achieved.

🥈 Silver Medal – 100m Freestyle — 2:16.24
🏅 4th Place – 50m Freestyle — 1:02.04
🥉 Bronze Medal – 4 x 50m Mixed Relay — 3:33.34 (Team- Francis Mauro, Christopher Joyce and Glen Wimbleton)

But these results are about much more than medals.

Your participation in the games are due to your dedication, determination, hard work and the courage to keep pushing beyond your limits. 💪❤️

Sallyann, you should be incredibly proud of what you have achieved. You have represented Gibraltar with great pride and shown once again that with determination, anything is possible.

A big 👍 to those coaches who volunteer their time to train the athletes.

The Moorish Castle is glowing red this week as Gibraltar marks the Special Olympics Global Week of Inclusion.

The landmark will be illuminated every evening until the 23rd in recognition of the work of Special Olympics to promote inclusion, opportunity and empowerment for people with disabilities.

The initiative also forms part of Disability Pride Month.
