Musa Jarra, treasurer of the Gambia Basketball Association (GBA) has completed the Olympic Solidarity, Sports Administration course with flying colours. GNOC Opens Five-Day Sports Administrators Course for National Associations

The Gambia National Olympic Committee opened the five-day Sports Administrators Course for National Sports Associations as part of its continued commitment to strengthening sports governance and capacity building in The Gambia.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Acting Director of the National Sports Council, Mahmoud Jawla, who delivered a statement highlighting the importance of effective sports administration in the development of national federations and athletes.

Also speaking at the ceremony was Commissioner Lamin King Colley, First Vice President of the GNOC, who reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to empowering sports administrators through education, leadership, and professional development.

The course is being directed by experienced facilitators Honourable Lamin Sanneh and Ousman Abou Wadda, who will guide participants through various topics related to sports management, governance, administration, and leadership during the five-day programme.

The initiative is expected to enhance the operational capacity of National Associations and contribute to the continued growth and professionalisation of sports administration in The Gambia.

Gambia Basketball Association is extending their sincere congratulations to Mr Jim Njie, president of Hope Project Gambia. After the conclusion of his basketball agencies course. Njie has now become the first ever Gambian licensed FIBA agent.

Hats 🧢 off to the undisputed champions Serekunda West. West loves winning most especially if it's a staged Africell tournament.

Records have it, West were the winners of the 5x5 Africell tournament last time and here comes again, crowned and coronated champions of the 3x3 tournament under the custodian of NBA Africa and Africell Gambia. 🇬🇲🏀

Lamin Skylanders came and competed wholeheartedly in the tournament and has harvested a 🥉 medal in the boys category of the NBA Africa and Africell Gambia Basketball 3x3 tournament.

Fatou Kinteh, despite being away from the lawn, still has glimpses of the Queen of the Court. Kinteh participated in the recently concluded basketball 3x3 tournament brought by NBA Africa and Africell Gambia and has helped her team wins Bronze medal. 🇬🇲🏀
