Star Academy FC produced a dominant performance away from home with an emphatic 5–0 victory over Upper Niumi.

Captain Fatou Jallow opened the scoring in the 8th minute after a bright start from the visitors. She doubled the lead in the 22nd minute with her second goal of the match, putting us firmly in total control.

Nanding Demba added the 3rd goal in the 27th minute following sustained attacking pressure. Just before halftime, Isatou Jallow finished brilliantly from a tight angle in the 31st minute to give us a comfortable 4–0 lead at the break.

The second half continued in the same fashion as we maintained total dominance.

In the 54th minute, relentless pressure from our girls forced an own goal after a dangerous shot from Fatou Jallow which gave us a 5:0 lead.

We capped off an excellent team performance to complete an impressive victory away from home.

Our final group stage match is here as we head to Kabakoto this Sunday, May 24th, to face Upper Niumi FC.

The last time we played at home, the girls secured a commanding 6-0 win, but we understand every game is different and we must stay fully focused.

We are traveling to Kabakoto with confidence, determination, and one goal which is to finish the group stage strong.

It ends in a 1-1 draw away from home in a match characterized by great effort, discipline, and determination from the team. The players gave their all from the first whistle to the last and deserved more from today’s performance.

After controlling large parts of the game and creating better chances, a poor refereeing decision changed the outcome and denied the team what seemed to be a well-deserved three points.

Captain, Fatou Jallow, beautifully curled a free kick, which the referee initially awarded as a goal but later disallowed after the assistant referee's intervention, following a request from some fans to call it a goal kick.

Despite this setback, the team displayed character and resilience, continuing to fight until the final whistle.

A difficult result to accept, but the effort, commitment, and unity shown by the players cannot be questioned.

We focus on the positives, stay focused, and move on stronger together.

It is half-time at Chamen, and we are currently leading, with a goal scored by Binta Joof at the 36th minute.
