It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that Lion Stars Football Academy informs our players, parents, supporters, friends, and the entire football community of the passing of our beloved medic, Ousman Janneh, who passed away today.
Ousman was an important member of our team and stood with us throughout our U17 League campaign. His dedication, care, and support for our young players will always be remembered and appreciated.
This is a great loss to the Lion Stars family. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who knew and loved him.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family and loved ones strength and patience during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace, Ousman Janneh. ๐๏ธ๐

WCRFAA Congratulates Universal FA on Winning National Championship
The West Coast Region Football Academies Association (WCRFAA) sends its pleasure by congratulating the Universal Football Academy on winning they National U17 Youth League.
The Champions fought with resilience, dedication, compassion, and utmost discipline to secure the highly coveted National Crown.
We sincerely appreciate the unwavering commitment of the staff, players, and supporters of Universal Football Academy for the journey.

WCRFAA Congratulates E-Sohna FA & KGH FA for Emphatic Victories in GFAA U17 National Youth League
Standing by its representatives in the ongoing Gambia Football Academies Association (GFAA) U17 National Youth League, the West Coast Region Football Academies Association (WCRFAA) sincerely congratulates E-Sohna Football Academy and KGH Football Academy for their respective victories over the weekend.
E-Sohna registered back-to-back victory following a resounding performance against AC Stars Football Academy, winning by 3-0.
Lamin Ceesay, Sulayman Sanneh, and Musa Jassey were all on the scoresheet for the E-Sohna FA.
In a separate game of the championship, KGH Football Academy won against GM Football Academy by a similar margin.
Babucarr Jatta opened the scoring for KGH FA before Musa Jarju double their lead. Babucarr Jatta sealed their victory, completing brace.

Universal FA Continue 100% Winning Run in GFAA U17 National Youth League
Universal Football Academy have maintained their stretch following a convincing 3-0 win over Sporting Banjul FA in the ongoing Gambia Football Academies Association U17 National Youth League.
Mahmoud Jallow, Jarga Mbow, and Modou Lamin Sama scored for the WCR-based academy in the emphatic victory at the on Saturday.
Universal FA won against Lahaiba FA with a similar scoreline in the first round of matches in the Youth League.
The West Coast Region Football Academies Association (WCRFAA) and all stakeholders send warm congratulations to Universal FA for their unstoppable start to the competition.

Lion Stars FA Continue Invincible Start to GFAA U17 National Youth League
Lion Stars Football Academy continued their unbeaten start to the Gambia Football Academies Association U17 National Youth League on Saturday, beating Banjul Bees Football Academy 3-2.
Ousman Bah, Malang Kandeh, and Simon Mendy were on the scoresheet for the West Coast Region-based academy.
Lions Stars FA qualified for the national youth football competition in addition to E-Sohna FA, following their impressive performance in the regional qualification.
Gunjur Kunkujang-based team have now won both their opening fixtures, initially defeating Excellence FA by a lone goal in their first encounter of the league.
The West Coast Region Football Academies Association (WCRFAA) warmly congratulates their regional representatives for their outstanding performance.
E-Sohna Football Academy play tomorrow against Athletic City Stars, aiming to replicate their victory they secured in their opening match.

Sibanor United Inaugurate its Football Academy
In a joyous, colourful, and memorable ceremony portraying the development of football in Foni, Sibanor United Football Club has inaugurated its football academy, a feeder team for its divisional side.
The development is a testament of creating avenues for young talents within the region, addressing challenges of player scouting to integrate in its senior team.
The inaugural ceremony is welcomed by the West Coast Region Football Academies Association (WCRFAA), completing the efforts of our stakeholders in talent nurturing and development.
Addressing the gathering, Samba Keita, the president of Sibanor United Football Club, reiterates his commitment to maintain the existence of the club, hence the idea of introducing an academy of talents for sustenance.
He cited the importance of education, ethical principles, and standardised practices of discipline.
"We are making sure that all players in the academy go to school. If parents can't afford their school expenses, we are willing to enrol them in school. Every player is forbidden to smoke. If anyone is found wanting, it will be automatically expelled from the academy," he stressed.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Yahya Manneh, the Gambia's U17 head coach, Lamin (Del) Fadera, the secretary general of the Sports Journalists Association of The Gambia (SJAG), Sarjo (Ganso) Sowe, the 3rd vice president of the West Coast Region Football Association (WCRFA), among other dignitaries.

WCRFAA Congratulates ESohna FA and Lion Star for the Milestone
The West Coast Region Football Academies Association (WCRFAA) extends its congratulations to ESohna FA and Lion Star FA for qualifying into the national youth championship.
The two academies booked their place following semifinal victories over MJ Academy and Young Futures, respectively.
Thirty-five academies participated in the qualifiers. The two best have made their way out.
The WCRFAA commends the efforts of stakeholders during the qualifying stages.

The qualifiers for the West Coast Region Football Academies Association (WCRFAA) continue on Sunday, registering 11 goals across six grounds.
The scheduled fixture between Batabutu FA and Kaburong FA could not proceed as planned. The committee will communicate to stakeholders on this matter as soon as possible.

The fixture between LYSDA and ATC FA was cancelled because Basori village, the base for the host, observed the 'Koriteh' prayer, marking the end of Ramadan.
