consideration of the current circumstances, Our candidate Amadou L S Jaiteh together with his entire team have decided to withdraw our aspiration for the presidency of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF).

This decision was not made lightly. The desire to serve Gambian football has always been driven by a genuine passion to contribute to the growth, unity, transparency, and development of our game at all levels. However, Amadou and his team remain firmly committed to the
progress of football in our country and to the values that inspired my interest in this race.

At this important moment, we believe that the greater interest of Gambian football must come first before personal ambition. In the spirit of unity, cooperation, and collective progress, Amadou together with his team have chosen to throw my full support behind Mr Kemo Ceesay The COACH - For GFF 2026

As a young age, Amadou had the honor of serving our beloved country through football—working as a physiotherapist and kit man for the U17, U20, and senior national teams. Those early days were more than just service; they were a lesson in discipline, teamwork, resilience, and national pride.

Amadou stood behind our athletes, supported their journeys, and witnessed firsthand what it means to represent The Gambia with passion and integrity. That experience shaped his belief that with the right leadership, commitment, and unity, we can achieve greatness in every sector of our football.

When national duty calls, Amadou step forward with a renewed sense of purpose—to serve, to lead, and to build a stronger, more inclusive football for our beloved Gambia with a commitment to reforms football, Develop Infrastructure and Capacity building for all stakeholders involved in football.
