Brikama United Football Club

A huge congratulations to Kemo Ceesay on his election as the new President of the Gambia Football Federation.

We also extend our congratulations to Mr Bakary Bojang and Lamin Dembajang, two distinguished figures of the West Coast Region, who were elected to key positions within the GFF.

Former Brikama United President Lamin Dembajang has been elected unopposed as an Ordinary Executive Member, while Bakary Bojang, the current President of the West Coast Regional Football Association, has been elected unopposed as Second Vice President.

This is a proud moment for Brikama United and the wider Brikama football community, with the club now having two experienced football administrators serving at the highest level of Gambian football governance.

Congratulations to President Kemo Ceesay, Lamin Dembajang and Bakary Bojang and all the other executive members. We wish you all success as you take on these important responsibilities.

Brikama United extends its deepest condolences to Sibanor United, the family, teammates and loved ones of Modou Saidy, alias “Kanteh”, following his tragic passing in Casamance.

Modou Saidy reportedly collapsed while playing a Nawettan match for Masara and was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, Sibanor United and everyone mourning this heartbreaking loss.

May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings, have mercy on his soul and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

Brikama United is delighted to announce that our young centre-back Musa Danso has completed a move to newly promoted Albanian top-flight side KF Laçi.

Musa has signed a four-year contract with the Albanian club, marking an exciting new chapter in his football career.

We are proud to see one of our young talents take the next step in his career and wish Musa every success as he begins his European journey.

BRIKAMA UNITED WISHES SAMBA JATTA SUCCESS IN TURKEY 🇬🇲🇹🇷

Our midfield maestro Samba Jatta has travelled to Turkey for a month long trial with Konyaspor a first-tier club.

Following an outstanding 2025/26 season, where he recorded 6 goals and 4 assists, Samba has earned the opportunity to showcase his talent at the Turkish club.

We are proud of his hard work, commitment and progress and we wish him every success during his trial.

Samba Jatta earns his place in the Space TV/Jollof Football Bantaba First Division Team of the Year after a season built on quality and consistency.

A true box-to-box midfielder and a tireless workaholic, Samba covered every blade of grass, driving Brikama United forward while contributing at both ends of the pitch.

Beyond the numbers, he delivered moments to remember with some spectacular goals that lit up the campaign and proved decisive when it mattered most.

A midfielder with energy, passion and quality. A season fully deserving of recognition.

We conclude our 2025/26 Gambia Football Federation First Division campaign with a thrilling 3-3 draw against Gambian Dutch Lions FC.

A season of determination, resilience and unforgettable moments sees us finish in 5th place with 43 points, ending the campaign among the league’s top sides.

Thank you to our players, management, technical team, supporters and everyone who stood with Brikama United throughout the journey. The season ends here, but the work continues.

It ends in defeat on the road at Jarra Soma as Hart FC claim a 3-1 victory in the penultimate match of the league season.
