We’re proud to welcome Pirates Rugby Union Club,Lae. to Cairns 7s 2026!

Hailing from 𝐋𝐚𝐞, 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐚 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚, the 𝐏𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 are one of the longest-standing rugby clubs in the region, with a proud history dating back to 1991.

For the 𝐏𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬, this isn’t just another tournament:
☑️ This is their first international campaign outside of PNG
☑️ A chance to represent their city on a bigger stage
☑️ And a celebration of 34 years of rugby legacy
