My absolute favorite sailor right now. I can so relate as lift the hook and unfurl my entire Genoa, no engine, and silently skim past the neighbor’s boat in the early morning hours while he’s still sleeping.

Look what just showed up!!

Can a ballooner be a Genoa? Blew out my Genoa in spectacular fashion while waiting for my new set of sails (more on that later). She was too old to take it any more. So, in this sojourn downwind, we’re flying the ballooner. Quite nice! Of course, it’s no good hard to weather, but doing rather well here on a close reach.
