On Saturday 17 February the African Cultural and Development Association along side the Urban Pilots Network and the Princess Movie Theatres hosted a movie and fun day for its youth arm in commemoration of African History Month. The movie day allowed over sixty (60) young African Guyanese to appreciate the contributions made by their ancestors across history and throughout the world. The youth were inspired to aspire higher as they progress through life and overcome adversity much like their predecessors. The African History month movie day was a continuation of the ACDA-UPN Aviation Camp which is funded by the Ministry of Education’s Youth Innovation Program grant. It began in December 2017 and focused on imparting technical skills in young Guyanese as it pertains to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math particularly within the Aviation sector.
