𝗥𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗮 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲

Dear friends of Ajmal Samuel Foundation and Kashgar to Karachi, Rapha is running an activation to encourage riders to help Rapha reach 1,000,000km (to be recorded in the below Strava Challenge Link) and The Rapha Foundation is pledging $150,000 per year for the next three years to support World Bicycle Relief’s Mobilised Communities programme in Kasungu, Mala.

Riders can do any rides, long or short, with Rapha or on their own. But they have to sign up in Strava in order to make the effort counts: https://www.strava.com/challenges/the-rapha-black-friday-ride-2021

Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dog Services 香港導盲犬服務中心 (HKSEDS) Activation event for Kashgar to Karachi organized by Ajmal Samuel Foundation was a complete success.

Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dog Services 香港導盲犬服務中心 (HKSEDS) will now officially be part of the Kashgar to Karachi fund raise once the event is kicked off and be one of its beneficiary.

We had visually impaired individuals, amputees and paraplegics all getting to know various types of bicycles available for them to ride and enjoy inclusive cycling.

協力共融 were available to tutor the visually impaired and other interested riders to learn how to ride tandem bikes. Handbikes were also available to try out.

Various able body cyclists were also present. Special thanks need to be extended to Rapha Cycling Hong Kong Fans/Chapter & Rapha Asia whose representatives were present to support this very meaningful event.

We would also like to thank Nelson of SwingBy Coffee to let us use the Coffee Shop venue for this event.

Cycling clubs and casual cyclists please come and join us on the 13th of November 2021 to promote Kashgar to Karachi (K2K) bike ride and this time together with Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dog Services 香港導盲犬服務中心 (HKSEDS). This organization is one of our chosen beneficiaries in our up-coming fundraising.

True to the Ajmal Samuel Foundation vision, this activation event involves tandem biking with the blind, hand-biking with paraplegics and even amputee riders! Together with our able-bodied friends we will cycle 3-5km loops along the HK Science Park Promenade. This will be a first time for some of our blind friends! Let’s practice inclusive well-being together.

Come meet us anytime from 1500 to 1800 at “Swing By Bicycle & Coffee Shop” next Saturday!

PS. Route can be shorter or longer depending on the blind tandem cyclists!

As part of team Kashgar2karachi my August training target nailed! Clocked 1,002,9Km in 21 trainings in 36hrs 44m.

As part of the team K2K my July training done and dusted. Managed to clock 1,009Km in 22 trainings in 39hrs. A little behind June but still doing okay. This month was very important for K2K as we were to depart from Kashgar and start our 3,000Km to Karachi on our hand-bikes. This journey has been rescheduled to next year due to COVID-19. Looking forward to it.
