Our lip balm care bag workshop was a huge success! Behind this wonderful outcome lies the dedication and days of hard preparation by Joy Connect women and elderly helpers. Seeing everything run so smoothly brings us immeasurable joy!

Special thanks to the corporate team for showing immense respect and warmth to our community. After the workshop, our women and elderly helpers happily shared how much they enjoyed working side by side with the corporate team, chatting and handcrafting gift packages together—it was such a fun and heartwarming experience!

This deep respect and warm interaction not only made each gift extra meaningful, but also gave our helpers a strong sense of confidence and happiness. ❤️

💄✨ 【Warmth in a Bag: Bringing Autumn Care & Blessings to Elderly Waste Pickers】 🛍️❤️

This September, as the autumn air grows cool, Joy Connect is deeply honored to partner with Lane Crawford and HandsOn Hong Kong to bring special care to the elderly waste pickers who silently contribute to our community!

A huge thank you to the team at Lane Crawford for pouring so much love into handcrafting 20 nourishing lip balms, writing heartfelt message cards by hand, and carefully packing them into rich care bags along with other thoughtful gifts. Every handcrafted lip balm and every packed gift bag carries deep respect and warmth for these elderly friends, bringing them moisture and comfort both inside and out during this dry season.

Special thanks to Lane Crawford and HandsOn Hong Kong for your trust and support. By always putting our community first, you helped us deliver this warmth directly to the corners where it is needed most.

特別感謝Joy Connect 的婦女及長者 Helper ，在過去一個月裡的努力與付出。為了讓老友記與義工們在當天享受到快樂、輕鬆又難忘的手作 Workshop，她/他們連日來不辭勞苦地準備材料、反覆練習流程、細心安排每一個微小細節。這份專業與用心，讓所有人都在台上看到了她們發光發亮的身影！🌟🥮

Behind every successful event lies the continuous heart and hard work of a dedicated community team!

A special and deep thank you goes to our Joy Connect women and elderly helpers for their endless efforts over the past month. To present a fun, relaxed, and enjoyable handcraft workshop, they spent days preparing materials, refining every step, and planning every small detail. Their dedication allowed them to shine so brightly on stage! 🌟🥮

We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Cathay volunteer team and HandsOn Hong Kong their passion and love! The atmosphere on the event day was electric, filled with warmth and laughter. Seeing everyone enjoy themselves to the fullest and return home with huge smiles (and delicious mooncakes!) means everything to us.

🌕 【A Cross-Community Mooncake Date! 160 ppl Celebrating a Warm Mid-Autumn Festival】 🥮✨
On a Saturday this September, Kai Tak Sports Park was filled with laughter and the rich aroma of mooncakes! 60 lovely elderly communities from Big Wave Bay and Tuen Mun gathered together with 110 energetic corporate volunteers from for a special snowskin mooncake workshop! ❤️

👵🏻👨🏽‍🦳 Heartfelt Words from the Elderly:
“I had so much fun! 😆 It feels so satisfying to experience making such beautiful mooncakes🥮😍!”
“It’s my first time visiting Kai Tak Sports Park! Having a group of lively young people making mooncakes together with us made me so happy. I really appreciate everyone’s thoughtful arrangements!”

More than half of the elderly shared that they had never been to Kai Tak before. With the warm, attentive companionship of the Cathay volunteers, they took charge of every step—from kneading dough and wrapping fillings to pressing the molds.

Seeing the bright smiles on their faces when they saw the finished products was truly heartwarming!
🌟 Community Shining Together with Love
This event was not only a festive celebration, but also a platform for Joy Connect’s community helpers to shine. They led this large-scale handcraft workshop with pride, showcasing their confidence and talents.

Special thanks to for the enthusiastic support of their volunteer team, and to HandsOn Hong Kong for their meticulous arrangements! Your thoughtfulness in always putting the community first made both our elderly participants and women helpers feel deeply respected and valued.
