The stage is set for the Cricket HK- Challenge League Division II Finals, where CSRHK-Frontiers will clash with TCC-Caribbeans on 11th May at 11 AM at Gin Drinkers Bay Cricket ground 🏟️

Our journey has nothing short of remarkable. From being Runners-Up in the 2022-2023 season, we powered through to earn promotion to Division II. And now, as the second in the table despite 2 washed away games in Division II, we’ve stamped our authority 👊 and secured our spot in the Division. I☀️ .

As the one and only PURE SRI LANKAN 🇱🇰 Cricket Club in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, we’ve epitomized unity, strength and unwavering determination throughout.

🏏🏏🏏What a thrilling encounter it was between USRC Avengers and CSRHK-Frontiers🏏🏏🏏

The Avengers batted first and posted a formidable total of 194/9 in 20 overs.
Kudos to our rising star 💫 Nuwan Dilshan, who led the bowling attack brilliantly with figures of 3 for 13 in just 2 overs. Captain Mahesh (13/2/3) and Suresh (17/1/3) showcased the power of disciplined bowling, frustrating the opposition batsmen.

Our consistent openers set the stage with a solid 74-running partnership, laying the foundation for the chase. Despite the middle order collapse, Thakshilas (29 in 16 balls) partnership with Nuwan Dilshan (13 from 8 balls) kept us in the game. 🏏🇱🇰🔥

But the real heroics came from our classy lefty, Buddhika, who played an unbeaten knock of 72 runs, guiding us to a nail-biting one- wicket victory.✌️

Buddhika’s masterclass has saved us on numerous occasions, and this game was no different. Also the holding of one end by Dinesh Tissera was phenomenal to the victory.🔥🇱🇰

🏏🏏Victory Alert ‼️ CSRHK Dominates Former Champions SLCC Tritons.

What a remarkable performance by CSRHK as they clinch a massive victory against former champions SLCC-Tritons! Winning the toss and opting to bat first, CSRHK showcased their batting prowess by putting up a staggering 234 runs on the board, losing just one wicket in the process, and that too a run out.

The opening pair of the classy left-hander, Buddhika, and the ever consistent Suresh set the stage with a brilliant partnership of over 100 runs, both ending up with unbeaten half centuries. This solid foundation laid the groundwork for a mammoth score. Later, Nalaka (37* in 31 balls) and the gun master Ruwan (51* in 20 balls) accelerated the scorecard, propelling the run rate to new heights.

In response, CSRHKs bowlers were relentless, not allowing the opposition to free their arms. Led by the impressive 🆕 comer Osanda Malitha, who wreaked havoc with a stunning spell of 4 wickets in 2 overs. SLCC Tritons found themselves struggling to keep up. Accurate tall right armer Thakshila and medium pacer Suresh, with their discipline bowling , chipped in with two wickets each, further tightening the screws on the opposition.

The result?? SLCC Tritons could only manage a mere 111 runs before being bowled out. This victory is a testament to CSRHKs courage, dedication, discipline and unity. Less than a year ago, they faced defeat against the same team in the Div.III finals, but today, they have turned the tables with a resounding 124-run win.🏆

Nissanka totalled 151 runs from the series that Bangladesh claimed 2-1, while Charith Asalanka improved two spots to 14th on the back of his 146 runs from three innings.

While Wanindu Hasaranga remained at the 2️⃣nd place of the ICC Men's T20I Bowling & T20I All-rounder rankings.

☀️ Opting to bat first, Markhons faced the relentless bowling attack of CSRHK, managing to post 195/6 in 20 overs. Kudos to captain Mahesh for leading the charge with 3-crucial wickets, well supported by Hasitha Ruwan (2-wickets) and Nalak (1-wicket) 🎯

In response, our classy opener Suresh showcased his brilliance yet again with an unbeaten half century, featuring 7-boundaries and 3-towering sixers 💥 Despite an early setback, the team adapted brilliantly by promoting Dinusha at No.3, and he delivered with a remarkable unbeaten half century, smashing 4- mammoth sixes! 🔥

But heroics didn’t stop there! With the job still unfinished, skipper Mahesh stepped up, forging a vital partnership with newcomer Ashan to secure an emphatic 8- wicket victory over USRC-Markhons. 🙌
