The Eddy Merckx Company was created in 1980, just 3 years after Eddy stopped racing. Eddy will never sanction a bike that is unsafe or likely to break.
It was an opportunity to get back into the business he loved, and the world he knew most about. The company started in an old farmhouse in Meise, near Brussels and little by little started producing top of the range racing bicycles.
