It stopped me mid-conversation.
Because I spent so many years
waiting for life to become beautiful —
for the circumstances to improve,
for things to finally settle,
for some future version of my days
to feel worth appreciating.
What I was not doing
was noticing what was already here.
The morning light before anyone else woke up.
The cup of tea held with both hands.
The breath between one moment and the next.
Beauty was never missing from my life.
My attention was missing from my life.
And here is what a daily practice taught me —
quietly, over months of sitting still —
how to actually be present in the life I already had.
Not a better life.
This one.
Fully.

..Stop waiting for a better life and start being present for this one. ✨

I have sat with so many women
who could not tell me
who they were outside
of what they did for other people.

Not because they were weak.
Because they were good.

Good daughters. Good mothers.
Good wives. Good friends.

Good at reading the room,
good at smoothing things over,
good at making sure everyone
around them was comfortable —
even when they were not.

And somewhere in all of that goodness,
they lost the thread back to themselves.

If this is you —
I want you to know
that the thread is still there.

It has never left.
You have just been too busy
holding everything else to feel it in your hands.
This month's newsletter is about finding it again.

People ask me how long they need
to meditate to actually feel a difference.

My honest answer: less than you think.
Three minutes shifts your blood chemistry.
Seven minutes begins to calm the nervous system.
Eleven minutes starts to rewire
how your mind processes stress.

You do not need an hour.
You do not need silence or a special cushion
or a version of yourself
that already has it all together.

You need five minutes.
A commitment.
And the willingness to show up
for yourself even on the days
it feels like nothing is happening,
especially on those days.

Because something is always happening.
You just cannot see it yet.

If something in you is ready to trust the process even before you can see the results, join my weekly newsletter for more reflections and practices like this. 🪷

She is being so hard on herself.
For not being further along.
For still feeling the way she feels.
For the years she spent
not knowing what she knows now.

I see this in so many women...
this quiet, relentless impatience
with their own becoming.

As if healing should have happened faster.
As if growth should feel more linear.
As if the fact that they are still working
through something means they are failing at it.

They are not failing.
They are building.
And building —
real building, the kind that holds,
takes exactly as long as it takes.

The most important practice
is not the one on your mat.
It is the one you extend to yourself
in the moments you fall
short of who you are becoming.

Be patient with her.
She is doing the work.

Healing is not linear.
And it is definitely not
what it looks like online.

The real work happens
in the quiet moments —
the ones nobody sees.

The days you sat with your discomfort
instead of running from it.
The days you followed through
when every part of you
wanted to stop.

A committed daily practice —
even five minutes, even imperfect —
is one of the most powerful ways
to stop unconsciously repeating
what you have not yet consciously healed.

Save this.
Come back to it on the day
the old pattern shows up again.
Because it will.

Healing happens in the quiet moments —
and so does the real work. 🪷
