Six Rules of Tidying
Rule 1: Commit Yourself to Tidying Up.
The KonMari Method™️ is a chance to reset your entire life. Set the intention to tidy up and resolve to put in the time and effort required – this is the first rule of tidying.
Rule 2: Imagine Your Ideal Lifestyle
Marie’s tidying process is not about decluttering your house or making it look neat on the spur of the moment for visitors. It’s about tidying up in a way that will spark joy in your life and change it forever. Think about what kind of house you want to live in and how you want to live in it.
Rule 3: Finish Discarding First.
Focus on what you want to keep. Cherish the items that bring you joy, and let go of the rest with gratitude. This provides a unique opportunity to learn from your past experiences.
Rule 4: Tidy by Category, Not by Location.
In order to tidy up completely – in a way that will change your life forever – you must tidy by category, not by location.
Rule 5: Follow the Right Order. The order in which you tidy is crucial. Tidying your belongings in this order – clothes, books, papers and sentimental items – has proven to be the most efficient and effective.
Rule 6: Ask Yourself if It Sparks Joy
Only you can know what kind of environment makes you happy. In the KonMari Method™️, your feelings are the standard for decision making – specifically, knowing what sparks joy. To determine this when tidying, the key is to pick up each object one at a time, and ask yourself quietly, “Does this spark joy?” Pay attention to how your body responds. Joy is personal, so everyone will experience it differently; Marie describes it as, “a little thrill, as if the cells in your body are slowly rising.”

Your root chakra is located at the base of your spine and is red in color. A balanced and healthy root chakra is home for your survival instincts, grounding, connection to your physical body, identity, preservation, safety, security, community and stability. It provides a solidity and base to create from and can be activated through the practice of yoga.
Here are some poses to stimulate your root chakra to increase its potency or release excess energy.
Hold each pose for five, slow and deep breaths, while visualizing a red ball of light at the base of your spine.

Garland Pose - Improves blood circulation and keeps your reproductive organs healthy.
Bridge Pose - Alleviates stress, rejuvenates, improves digestion, calms the brain and central nervous system
Warrior Pose - Improves focus, balance and stability. Encourages good circulation and respiration.
Chair Pose - Boosts stamina and balance. Builds strength and length.
Thunderbolt Pose - Aids digestion, improves concentration and strengthens pelvic muscles.
Staff Pose - Improves core stability and posture.

Today I want to raise awareness about International Youth Day. It's a day created by the UN to raise awareness about the challenges faced by some of the youth around the world, for example the lack of basic education, childhood poverty, etc.

The body is our temple, and has a mystery and magic of its own. It is a sensory organ through which we experience all of life from touch, taste, sight, sound and smell.
It enables us to feel, communicate, connect and participate with our community and surroundings and gives us access to the pleasures of daily life.
Today, take a moment to give thanks to your body and all it does for you effortlessly.
Notice your breath…the inhalation and exhalation and how it takes care of itself …naturally…all day …every day … awake or asleep… a daily miracle...
