Seam tape (heat-sealing tape) is a thermoplastic adhesive film applied to sewn seams of fabrics to prevent water from leaking through. It can be applied by using any of the commercially available hot air taping machines, or laser or ultrasonic machinery.

Seam tape is the critical link in the chain of waterproof protection. That’s because a product made of the best waterproof fabric in the world will leak if the sewn seam is not sealed effectively. If the garment leaks, customers won’t care if it is from the fabric or the seam—all they know is they’re getting wet and the product has failed. Quality seam tapes protect your investment by preventing leaks at the seams—that’s why selecting the right seam tape is important. Bemis offers a wide range of high-quality and environmentally safe tapes for waterproofing sewn seams. Our tapes are strong, resilient and easy to use. Our two-layer tapes contain no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). To complement our line of non-PVC tapes, Bemis printed tapes use only 100% UV-cured and water-based inks.

Our 3-Ply Cloth Seam Sealing Tapes are exclusively designed for sealing seams on 3-layers high performance waterproof breathable laminates. It is characterized as a seam sealing tape of High Permeability as this tape can easily pe*****te into various fabric textures and produce a strong bonding in which the hydrostatic pressure value/ peeling strength of fabric can be improved and even reach up to a higher level. Also, it has excellent dry cleaning resistance and washability.
