I have now participated in seven UTMBs since 2014 ( except for the COVID years 2020 to 2022).

Starting at 6pm 1 9 2023, I hiked about 24kms with 1000 metres elevation from Chamonix to St Gervais in 5 hours but was timed out.

I am humbled and privileged to be the first Chinese to have competed in UTMB in the over 70 age category since I turned a septuagenarian on 29th August 2023.

4-大灣區的山峰、需要1.5% 完成 (香港除外)
5-嚴禁個人獨行，在群組找尋伴侶，自行組隊
6-報名（費用全免）
7-13個月後、發出網上証書 (不論完成多少山峰)
8-參加者必須年滿18歲或以上。
9-要注意個人自身安全及團體精神。

Owing to inclement weather, for safety reasons, participants were given the following options:

1 Complete the Trail Run from TsimBeiTsui to TsimShaTsui and visit all check points and within 11 hours.

2 Complete the Trail Run from TsimBeiTsui to TsimShaTsui but skipping some check points and within 11 hours.

In this connection, certificates will be issued to Finishers in the following format.

A Finishers
a True Grits
b Whimps

B Survivors

For all other participants who finished the Trail Run in 11 hours or more.

While I had my first DNF ( Did not finish) in over fifty 100km races since 2005, I’m happy that my son Thomas finished this race in 21h 33 with a bronze trophy.

The Tenth TSBR GrandSlam 2023

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of TSBR since 2003, I shall organise the subject event.

This will comprise the completion of four traditional trail events in Hong Kong which are the Oxfam Trailwalker, TNF 100, the Hong Kong 100 and the TransLantau 100 in the year 2023.

The event is free of charge as in the past. Successful finishers will be awarded TSBR GrandSlam Certificates and Medals. They will also be eligible to subscribe for special TSBR GrandSlam T shirts at cost.

For those who are interested, please submit an application to me on or before 28 February 2023.
Acceptance of the application is at the sole discretion of TSBR.
