Battle is closing in at Super Speed Race at Shanghai International Circuit
Super Speed Race will be holding on 19th August at Shanghai International Circuit. Other than GT Asia Series and TCR Asia Series, there will be new comers selected from Road to Champion National Driver Programs to compete in Asian Formula Renault and Renault Clio Cup China Series. Will Kenneth Lim from Clio Cup China Series be able to defend his consecutive champions since the season start? And will Josh Burdon from BlackArts Racing Team be able to fight against Liu Kai from Asia Racing Team and Najiy Ayyad from S&D Motorsports and stay on top after Shanghai race? Round 7-8 will be one of the most exciting battles in 2016 series.
Although 6 AFR drivers and 2 Clio drivers selected from the program do not have a lot of experience on race track, their performance on karting and other races are astonishing. 17-year-old AFR driver Li Qing Yuan had a lot of champion records in 2015 CKC Karting Championship and was the 2nd runner-up in overall. This will be a huge advantage for him in handling the Formula Renault.
Louis Lai and Jay Wong were race drivers before the selection, but this is the first time for them to race with the Renault Clio. They will be practicing and having fitness training before the race, hoping to have a better performance in the debut race.
