Originally begun by Renault Sport in Europe, managed and organized by Formula Racing Development (FRD) in China, the Clio Cup China Series, is a one-make racing series featuring the Clio supermini car. Putting 200+ horsepower on a 1060 kg frame with a sequential gearbox and factory tuned chassis, the Clio is one powerful drive in a small body. With 14 national championships in Belgium, Brazil, Chi
na, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom, it is an international race participated by many. In China, the main competition is held in China, with additional races are also held on international circuits such as the Nurburgring in Germany and the Le Mans in France.
2013, Clio Cup China Series will continue co-operating with ZIC, drivers will compete in the 2013 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival. And in June, the series will move to GIC as the supporting race of CTCC Championship.
