29th Asian Baseball Championship 2019 (“Asian Championship 2019”, 2019第29屆亞洲棒球錦標賽), games to be played on October 14-20 in Taichung.

Asian Championship 2019 is a qualifier to WBSC U23 Baseball World Cup in 2020, and also the qualifier to the Final Qualification of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020).

Two highest finishers from the Asian Championship 2019 (teams who have not yet qualified for the Tokyo 2020) will be advanced to compete with the qualified teams from Africa/Europe Qualifier, Americas Qualifier and Oceania Qualifier, for the last place at Tokyo 2020.

Eight teams in the Asian Championship 2019, divided into two groups to play in the preliminary round:
Group A: Japan (1), Chinese Taipei (3), Hong Kong (6), Sri Lanka (9).
Group B: South Korea (2), China (4), Pakistan (5), Philippines (8)

Remarks: the figure in the brackets is the ranking in Asia.

Chinese Taipei defeated Hong Kong, 17-2, in the opening game on October 14. Today, Hong Kong win over Sri Lanka 5:1.

Hong Kong will meet Japan tomorrow, October 16, 18:30.

第一戰 香港對成都

球員打線發揮不俗， 第一局四支安打下攻下7分，成都發揮強韌打擊。第五局下被追至10：11，其後投手陳浩賢在滿壘情況下上場救援化解危機。第六局上我方球員再次發打線威力，出擊7支安打，其中敖卓文擊出一支帶有四分打點的場內全壘打，一口氣攻下13分再度張比分拉開。第六局下對方再無得分情況下，我們以10：24比分提前結束比賽。今場比賽其中以球員麥有晟、張朗麒、敖倬文、伍信熙打擊表現最為出色。
