We hosted our biggest OPEN DAY ever!
On Saturday morning, we welcomed more than 20 newcomers to MBAAA DRAGONS, and for some of them - it was their first ever dragon boat experience. We were even graced by the the young and energetic Founder of our sponsor Kin Technology, Oswin!
We split everyone into Team Keith and Team Edgar, as the two Captains coached their respective members with land and boat drills. This set up an exhilarating final showdown between two teams, as we had a race to determine which was the better team.
All's well that ends well as both teams practically crossed the finish line together. And we all celebrated our comradeship with a healthy dash of watermelon - a team tradition!
HKUST MBAAA DRAGONS remain an integral and proud part of the greater HKUST MBA community. And we'd like to wish all our new and current students an amazing MBA journey!
Throw back to our last race of the Season.
Open Day is coming. How many will answer the Call of the Dragon?

We just hosted a massively successful KIDS DAY for a bunch of Little Dragons!
While the scorching heat was record-breaking, the Captains took every precaution and preparation to make sure that both children and adults had a fun and safe time.
After a bit of land training, we all boarded the boat to do some live drills. Under the coaching of our Captains, even our youngest Dragons were able to come to grips with the basics of dragon boat paddling.
Ice cold drinks were shared during our final break, before we completed our last drill of the day - a mock race of 200m.
After we were back on land, the Captains revealed the last surprise for everyone - freshly cut watermelons to conclude a fun afternoon!
Special thanks to our members who came in support of the team, providing safety and muscles. Couldn't have done it without you all!

After some late additions to the team right before our first race, the full team poster is complete!
Woohoo!

Last (seriously...) but not least of our KYC is Vivian, or we simply call her V!
If there's one thing you absolutely must know about V, it's that she's absolutely afraid of
dogs.
That's really bad, because dragons can sometimes look like dogs from certain angles. OK maybe not. But somehow, we're constantly reminded that she's afraid of dogs.
So as Captains, we're letting you all know - that we're making a new rule - let's call it "V Rule" - that no team mates should ever,
ever,
ever,
bring a dog onto the dragon boat.
Peace.
