Last (seriously...) but not least of our KYC is Vivian, or we simply call her V!
If there's one thing you absolutely must know about V, it's that she's absolutely afraid of
dogs.
That's really bad, because dragons can sometimes look like dogs from certain angles. OK maybe not. But somehow, we're constantly reminded that she's afraid of dogs.
So as Captains, we're letting you all know - that we're making a new rule - let's call it "V Rule" - that no team mates should ever,
ever,
ever,
bring a dog onto the dragon boat.
Peace.

We welcome Elma back to the fold after this lady has completed her Hyrox challenge!
Elma never stop challenging herself, with Trailwalker, Hyrox and dragon boating under her belt, and she did it all as example to her lovely twins. What an incredible lady!
Let us all inspire our children with our actions!

Today's KYC is Aarti!
She joined us last year, and has an infectious and contagious smile and personality. She loves the sea as much as every one of us, and is often the first to roll up her metaphoric sleeves to help pick up trash when we visit the beaches.
Kudos!

A message from our sponsor Kin Technology!
#kintechnology #hkustmbaaadragons #dragonboat #medicationadherence #healthtech #hongkongstartups #clicktakedone #teamspirit | Kin Technology "Beauty is when drum, hearts and hands beat as one." 🚣 We saw that exact synergy out on the water. We were incredibly proud to sponsor the HKUST MBAAA Dragons this past season, equipping the team with custom-made paddles to keep them firing on all cylinders right through to their final race. Just...

Next up in our KYC is... Stephen!
We had to update his title a little, because due to some pacer shortages, we've invited Stephen to train for Pacer. And he made the transition seamless!
Amidst all the "liquid networking" (champagne after races anyone?), Stephen has grown to become a very competent and experienced member of the team. And the good part of being a pacer is, you have nobody in front of you to splash water ruining your nice hair!
So that's a win-win for Stephen!

Today's KYC is Terry!
"Why not?" is often the start of great adventures. We often do not plan where we go and just let our hearts take wings.
And for maybe a lot of us, that sentiment echoes the origin of why we signed up for our first ever dragon boat practice.
So be more like Terry! Ask more "Why nots", go on more adventures. Life is too short to repeat the really boring stuff!

Sam may be a new member, but he's had a couple of years of experience as well. A vocal and motivating member of the team, you can often hear Sam cheering or chanting us on from the middle of the boat.
Now, let's remember to ask Sam about his crazy story - what the hell happend at McDs?!!!!!

Races may be over, but let's keep those KYCs coming!
Vanessa may be new to the team this year, but she's definitely not new to many of us.
She came with quite a few years of experience under her belt, and often helped us out as a pair of extra hands at past races. But this year, she officially joined us and was an important part of the team - whether as drummer, or as our paddler.
You go girl!
