First WTA 125 doubles title. New career-high ranking. 👏🇭🇷

Congratulations to Lucija Ciric-Bagaric on lifting the Axeria Open trophy in Târgu Mureș and climbing to a career-high No. 118 in the WTA doubles rankings.

It’s always special to welcome one of Dubrovnik’s own to our tournaments. From competing at the WTA Dubrovnik Open in her hometown to taking the court in Makarska, we’re proud to follow Lucija’s journey!

Our Tournament Director, Feliks Lukas took part in the WTA 125 World Tournament Directors’ Meeting, held during the 37th Palermo Ladies Open at the Country Time Club in Palermo, Italy. The meeting brought together tournament directors from across the globe to discuss the future and continued development of the WTA 125 circuit.

As part of the Best Practices seminar, Feliks presented the approach behind the success of the WTA Makarska Open and the standards that have made our tournament one of the most respected events on the WTA 125 calendar.

Recognised for its outstanding hospitality, exceptional player experience, high organisational standards and unique off-court events, the WTA Makarska Open continues to set the benchmark for excellence on the WTA 125 Tour.

We are especially proud that the tournament was also recognised as the second-best WTA 125 tournament in the world, a recognition that belongs to our entire team, partners, sponsors, volunteers and the City of Makarska.

Recognition comes with responsibility. We’re proud of this achievement, but even more motivated to keep innovating and delivering an even higher standard at both the WTA Makarska Open and the WTA Dubrovnik Open

Congratulations to Tamara Korpatsch on winning the MSC HAMBURG LADIES OPEN 🎾 ❤️

Tamara Korpatsch first joined us in Makarska last year before returning for the inaugural WTA Dubrovnik Open this season. Finalist Anna Bondar is another familiar face, having competed at WTA Makarska Open in 2024 and previously on the ITF circuit in Bol.

The connections don’t stop there. Semifinalists Mayar Sherif a longtime friend of our tournaments in Dubrovnik & Makarska, and Elina Avanesyan also competed in Makarska.

Congratulations to all on a fantastic week in Hamburg! Sendig hugs from Croatia!
