Boulanje Manman Troll started production during the autumn of 2012. The bakery now provides 13 steady jobs.
In addition, approximately 60 female sellers purchase bread from the bakery to resell in the streets. Manman Troll is a women's network started by Haitian/Norwegian Non -Profit "Prosjekt Haiti" in 2007. Feeling pretty happy being able to purchase a new motorcycle with storage for our Manman Troll Bakery today! We will be able to bring out bread to new clients in the capital with the new bike! Our social entreprise Manman Troll Bakery in Port au Prince is probably one of the most challenging projects that we have started. Producing and selling bread 🥖 in Haiti, where prizes for ingredients & diesel ⛽️ (needed for electricity) are raised every month, does not give us many competitive advantages, and our clientele are the poor segment of the population in Delmas, so we need to keep our prizes as low as we can. From time to time the oven or the other machines break down and we have to raise funds to repair and replace them. However, we are so proud of our dedicated staff who keep working and staying true to our vision of creating a well-functioning bakery! we are celebrating the bakery staff and the manager Jacky Belame today🥖☕️💕💕 photo by Sveinung Konradsen

Happy team of bakers today as we are finally ready to re-open after being closed for a period. We had ovens and other equipment that needed to repaired and re-placed. Finally we were able to raise the necessary funds and today we are back in business! 🥖🍞🥐 if you are in Port au Prince please come by and try our delicious bread at #27, Rue Gaou Guinou, Delmas 31! 😀

Christmas countdown day 12 at our bakery Manman Troll Boulanje in Port au Prince. The bakery opened in 2012 and has a staff of 12, led by Jacky Belame who spent last year working in Åpent Bakeri in Oslo, Norway. Jacky is now back in Haiti leading the development of our bakery here and doing a great job! We recruit saleswomen from our Manman Troll network, and the bakery thus provides a dear income for many families in Delmas.
