Fierce Heart
I help women restore safety in their bodies through body-mind awareness. I provide curated solutions for embodied transformation.
Growth in yoga takes many forms. For some, yes, it’s going from not touching your toes to being able to. For others, it’s finally getting rid of that fear and getting up into a headstand. And for many more, it’s about finding a practice that makes you a better you. When you come to your mat, it’s a time to calm your mind. Join me for Hatha yoga classes with vinyasa flow.

Emotions are energy. Energy is made to move. When that movement is hindered the flow stops. It doesn’t go away. It gets stuck. Fully charged. And then stored in the body. In the tangible as well as intangible layers of our humanness. So when emotional cycles are repeatedly interrupted and unfinished (due to external factors affecting our systems’ natural internal ability to process emotions) it causes backlog. And then gridlock. Causing great wear and tear on the body. Creating allostatic load. The ultimate key to healing is allowing each arc to complete so the energy can be released. This can only happen when it feels safe enough through awareness that the emotion is not you but energy moving through you. Cultivation of this awareness is done through the Self reconnecting with the Body.
Somatic-based therapy works with the body, not against it. Gently releasing stored tension from the tissues (muscles, fascia, organs etc) so those interrupted arcs can finally complete. It’s the release of the physical tension that allows the emotional tension to resolve. Resulting in energy freed up and real, lasting healing happening. Not just in the mind, but from the inside out.
Wherever you are on your journey - between rockbottom & serenity - I’d love to support your healing. DM me ‘HEAL’ for a 1:1 bodywork session or online consultation.

Some days you’ll feel light, grounded and hopeful. Other days you’ll feel heavy, foggy or stagnant.
Both are part of the process.
Healing is not about constant progress, it’s about choosing to come back to yourself. Again. And again.
It means making one conscious decision after the other. Each one intended for your highest good.
Have a clear picture of who it is you want to become. What is the best version of yourself that you want to embody.
Follow that. Anything else is self sabotage, actually.
But we're recalibrating. Breaking old habits. Igniting the lines of energy. Creating new neural pathways.
It takes effort. And consistency. And mostly isn’t pretty. Trust the process.

"This is the time to be slow,
Lie low to the wall
Until the bitter weather passes.
Try, as best you can, not to let
The wire brush of doubt
Scrape from your heart
All sense of yourself
And your hesitant light.
If you remain generous,
Time will come good;
And you will find your feet
Again on fresh pastures of promise,
Where the air will be kind
And blushed with beginning.”

WHAT IS YIN YOGA?
It is a yoga practice which focuses on longer-held postures, working with fascia to release tension at a very deep level. Yin yoga is releasing, relaxing, rejuvenating and restorative all at once... balancing body mind & spirit. It is a perfect complement to our ‘yang’ lifestyles of activity, sports and even other more active forms of yoga.
Hanlie is looking forward to sharing this nourishing practice with you. No previous experience required, at all.
She holds a safe space which will allow you to explore your own space.
