NEW FIRMWARE RELEASE NOW AVAILABLE V102

A new firmware release is available to support Swift GPS functionality across Shearwater air integrated dive computers - Perdix 2, Perdix AI, NERD 2, Petrel 3, and Peregrine TX. Updates for Tern TX and Teric will follow later this year.

There has also been a change to the default value of GF Low to 50%. So the default Tec mode GF is 50/70 (previously 30/70). The default Rec mode GF fixed conservatism values are now 50/75 (high), 50/85 (med), and 50/95 (low). The effect of increasing GF Low is to move the deepest decompression stops shallower. The default values of GF High are unchanged. NDL dives are not affected at all. The dives that are affected are ones that require mandatory decompression.

It’s been a maSSIve week here and we are very happy and proud to announce we have 2 new divers here after successfully completing the XR CCR rEvo diver training. With over 10hours spent in water and countless hours building and discussing units and theory we would like to congratulate on being the first Balinese rEvo diver and on being one of the few Indonesians trained and certified on the rebreathers.

The hard work and long hours paid off well done.

Another massive week of learning and huge congratulations to and Joe on successfully completing their CCR diver level on the and well done to .gon_perezrosales for being part of the team and the entire class to develop a greater understanding of ins and outs of the unit.

A solid 7 days of learning covering both theoretical knowledge, practical applications and unit maintenance tips, and intensive in water time got the following achieved:

✅ 2 confined water development sessions
✅ 8 open water dives accumulating more than 700mins in water
✅ Integration of team dynamics and human factors thanks to the Essentials micro class courtesy of

These guys smashed it and Josh and Gonzalo also upgraded to the Extended Range Trimix Diver utilizing helium based gas for decompression stop diving to depth of 45m

These guys are now all able to effectively use this formidable tool for marine science and underwater filming. Josh and Gonzalo are already looking at how the rEvo will help them for deep reef research and getting closer to marine megafauna.

It’s with great pleasure that we can announce and congratulate Misi on completing his XR Extended Range Trimix CCR Instructor rating on the range of rebreathers. A long week of both learning, demonstrating and teaching all aspects of probably the best educational teaching material and system on the market got trained up to enjoy silent diving to depths of 45m safely.
Also well done to Marco coming from Bira to learn the secrets of sidemount with us and also completed his XR Extended Range Diver level training.

Another mammoth week here with us and massive congratulations to and .embi for completing training and gaining the CCR diver certification. It’s been a journey of discussions, team work and lots of invested time to get comfortable and confident using these amazing units as tools for U/W videographer/photography.
We were also excited to host Team Britannic our crew that will be going on an adventure of a life time and ultimate dive destination for anybody into deep ship wrecks.

The ambitious mission to dive the HMHS Britannic wreck in the Aegean Sea, required team building, development of inter team protocols and procedures as well as trying new approaches to configurations.

Sitting at a depth of around 120 meters (nearly 400 feet), the Britannic is the sister ship of the Titanic and one of the most iconic deep wreck dives in the world. Diving it on rebreather requires months of planning, logistics, and precise ex*****on — from gas blends and bailout strategy to decompression planning and surface support.

Only a small number of divers have ever reached the wreck since its discovery in 1975 — it’s considered one of the most challenging technical dives on the planet.

Massive congratulations to Tark and Alex for completing their SSI XR CCR Diving training on the rEvo rebreather with us. A long week of learning team discussions and skills in the water and now they are ready to go out and use these amazing tools.

It’s with great pride that we congratulate .tirtawinata .rg on successfully completing the CCR Diver program. An intense 9 days of training, discussions, debriefs, human factors workshops, gas planning and configuration debates and adjustments saw the team execute an EPIC 100m dive utilizing the range of DPV’s for increased safety. We are also very excited as this is one of the last remaining steps before .tirtawinata starts his instructor evaluation.
