This was an all day tour with pick up from our local hotel (Royal Tulip) drive up to Mount Salat. 5 K hike through a rain forest up to the crater floor. Wear long pants with swim wear under. Wear Teva style hiking shoes if you have them, this is what the guides wear & makes for easily washing off the mud after if you go in rainy season. We wore full hiking boots and that’s fine too. Just need to clean them up after. This was a beautiful & interesting hike from start to finish! Hot bubbling water in pockets all around the crater floor. Bring a mask, sulfur smells in this area. The boiling volcano water steams mix with the big river & at the end of the hike back you stop for a warm waterfall hole you can swim in. Highly recommend this tour & this guide! Ridwang was a wealth of information about the volcano, vegetation, the area & city around it & Indonesia in general. He does tours (hiking & city) all over Java & Bali! Book with him! We will be again for sure!! He is even listed in the lonely planet book as a recommended tour guide .

Motorbike tour goes to Country side..
