• Surveying and preparing bill of quantities (BoQs) &
cost estimation of civil structures and electrical and mechanical components of the hydro power projects
• Carrying out surface geological analysis of project sites
• Detailed designing of Mini & Micro Hydro project components
• Supervision and monitoring of construction and installation of hydro power projects
• Designing of Water Turbines and Water Pumps
• Manufacturing of low head, medium head and high head Hydraulic Turbines
• Monitoring progress and supervising quality control of manufacturing processes of micro and mini scale water turbines and other allied equipments
• Evaluation of structures and installations of plants for checking efficiency and effectiveness
• Designing & developing Hydro Powered Pumping projects for irrigation purposes
• Designing and developing water supply schemes
• Designing and developing renewable energy technologies
• Developing training materials and providing trainings for capacity building of young hydro power engineers and field workers.
• Installation, testing, commissioning and handing over the hydro projects to communities after successful completion
• Providing on job trainings to turbine operators and other field workers.
• Exploring socially, technically, economically and financially viable MHP project sites
• Providing guidelines and instructions to manufacturers to fabricate simple and sophisticated turbines i.e. cross flow turbines, pelton turbines, Kaplan turbines, Propeller turbines , water wheels and other relevant components of hydraulic mechanical equipments.
