Karya ini terinspirasi oleh seni
tradisional Madura yang berjudul Topeng Ghulur, yang terus bergerak menggulung.
Masyarakat Madura percaya bahwa dengan gerak bergulung, maka zat yang ada di
dalam tanah akan keluar dan dapat menyuburkan tanah yang kering.

Dalam konteks saat ini, karya Ghulur telah berkembang menjadi gerakan menggulung di atas seng, simbol bahwa tanah telah tergantikan oleh seng dan beton.


Karya ini telah
ditampilkan di Indonesian Dance Festival, Hela Tari Salihara berkolaborasi dengan visual
artis Muhammad Hanafi, Festival Seni Bedog di Yogyakarta, M1 Contact South East Asian
Choreographer di Singapura, dan Festival Europalian di Bozar Studio Brussels, Belgia.

This performance is a manifestation of gratitude for the “Invisible Power” of gratitude, appreciation for the earth, a means of strengthening brotherhood, and how to get prosperity and blessings from the Almighty.
This performance is a symbol of the excitement and euphoria of the people of Surabaya in celebrating the diversity embodied in the excitement of the People’s Festival celebration.
