Being in shape at 25 with a 9-5 and no kids is really not that impressive.

But being in shape while running a business and having a young family is something else.

Those who don’t live it simply won’t understand.

There really aren’t enough hours in the day.

But here’s what nobody really talks about.

Every day consists of 3 things…

Being the provider and working to build the future for your family.

Being the best Dad you can be who spends precious time being present with his kids.

Finding pockets of time where ever possible to look after yourself enough to do the first 2 well.

Outside of those things there really isn’t a lot left.

It makes sense why so many Dads lose themselves amongst the chaos.

But I can tell you first hand that if you don’t find time for the 3rd point everything else will suffer.

I’ve lived it.

And I see it in many men who come to work with us.

And tbh it’s not even about ‘finding time’ because there isn’t any more time to be found in the already relentless schedule let’s be honest.

It’s about prioritising.

And most Men don’t prioritise their health because they don’t see the value.

And that’s because they don’t truly understand how much they are leaving on the table in the areas of their life they do prioritise by not looking after themselves.

Meet Richard. 51.

14 weeks into Alpha21.

Richard made the decision to come onboard Alpha21 and fix his health after a close family member sadly passed away which left him in deep shock and grief.

In my early 20’s I dipped my toe into competitive bodybuilding…

This involved the use of Anabolics for 3-4 years which for those who don’t know shuts down natural testosterone production completely.

So when I decided to come off Testosterone my levels hit the floor and I fell into a bit of a depression.

I had zero s*x drive, no motivation and just felt a bit weak and pathetic (No joke).

And I remember sitting in the GP Surgery after having my bloods taken and the Doctor (A lovely Irish lady) looks at me with nothing but care and says…

‘Dominic, your testosterone levels are very low, please look after yourself’ — Probably the best advice I’ve had from a Doctor to be honest.

Although she never actually told me what that actually meant.

What was shocking about this was that I’d visited the Doctors AFTER I’d run the typical post cycle therapy protocol that’s usually recommended - not once, but twice over a 10 week period and my levels were still at 4nmol.

But I was left to figure it out on my own and within less than 6 months I’d got my levels to the upper end of optimal at 29 nmol.

Here’s what I didn’t do:

❌ I didn’t do things blindly.
❌ I didn’t take random supplements I saw online.
❌ I didn’t think training harder was going to fix it.

Here’s what I did do:

✅ I ran a comprehensive blood panel and had it reviewed from an optimal health perspective.
✅ I fixed key nutrient deficiencies exposed from my bloods: Zinc, Magnesium, Selenium, Vitamin D.
✅ I prioritised strength training but NOT to failure.
✅ I cut out alcohol.
✅ I prioritised sleeping 7.5 hours each night consistently.
✅ I consumed a high fat diet.
✅ I addressed my gut issues.
✅ I supported my nervous system.
✅ I regulated my light exposure.
✅ I used red-light therapy directly on the te**es.

The truth is most men can naturally optimise their testosterone levels and don’t need TRT to do so.
