🖤💛COUNTY U16 CHAMPIONS 🖤💛

Abbeydorney U16 hurlers have created history today, by becoming the first Abbeydorney U16 team to win the County U16 Championship.

The lads found themselves in a difficult position at half-time, having conceded three goals and trailing by eight points.

Half-Time: Abbeydorney 0-10 Crotta 3-09
But this group of players simply refused to give up. Facing a nine point deficit early in the second half, they dug deep and produced an incredible display of determination and belief. Every player stood up when it mattered most, and they fought their way back into the game before finishing with a four point victory.

A massive congratulations to all the players on an outstanding achievement. Your hard work, commitment and never-say-die attitude have created a very special piece of Abbeydorney hurling history by completing a League and Championship double at U16 grade this year.

A huge thank you to the management team of Tom, Tony, John Mike and Tommy for all their time and commitment.

The winner of Split the Bucket was Michael Leen and the winning ticket was drawn by Anthony Rigney.

The jackpot was €368 The split was €184 to the winner, and €184 going to Abbeydorney Bord na Óg
