We are delighted to introduce Jennifer Colford, a Tennis Ireland Level 2 coach who will be running coaching sessions at ARTC this season.

Here's what's on offer:

Adult Beginners — Tuesday mornings, 9:30–10:30am
Starting tomorrow! FULLY BOOKED

Adult Beginners — Wednesday mornings (new group forming)
Can start this week with enough interest.

Improvers — Wednesday evenings, 7–8pm (new group forming)
Can also start this week. Adult courses run for 6 weeks at €60 per person.

Teens (approx. 13–17) — Thursday, 6pm
6-week course at €50 per person.

Beginner Tennis lessons for adults starting next week Ardfield TC! 🎾

A 6 week set of lessons for people who have never played or are returning to tennis after a long hiatus.

If there is enough interest, I am hoping to have the lessons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30 am-10:30 (please let me know which morning you would like to attend. Cost is 60 euro with balls and rackets provided. Please text Jennifer 085 7104935 to secure a place for Tuesday or Wednesday.

There will be a Christmas tree at the chapel cross again this year, thanks to Clonakilty Dunmanway Credit Union. A special thank you too to Ardfield Rathbarry tennis club for helping it shine.
For 2025, we’ll adorn it with honor decorations to remember our loved ones. Check the poster for details on how to participate. All funds raised will support Ardfield Rathbarry Community First Responders. This is being organised by Therese O'Shea.

Honour decorations will be given to families after the Christmas season.

Dear members,

Both courts will be closed from Thursdays 11th of December as the contractor Care Court will commence the replacement of the lower court. We expect them to be out of action for at least a week. We will contact you as soon as they are ready to play on.

Please do not play on the lower court even if the work is done as it may require time to settle. I will advise you as soon as we are ready to play.

I would particularly like to thank John and Joan O Connell for all their hard work getting us to this stage.

All going well we will have a beautiful new court to play on over the Christmas holidays weather permitting. Many thanks for your patience

Wow, what a fabulous night of music and fun we had last night in The Mountain Forge Escape. The Racquet at the Forge was a great success and we are so grateful to all who helped make it such a memorable night.

Thank you to all the incredibly talented musicians who gave their time freely, to Conor and his team at The Mountain Forge (what a great venue for gigs), to everyone who came along to support the event, to everyone who donated a raffle prize and last, but not least to Elaine Connolly who did such a wonderful job planning and organising the evening. Well done all, looking forward to next year already!!

A quick update on our upcoming music event. Unfortunately, due to a double-booking Jim Murray is no longer available to play at the event. It’s a pity Jim can’t make it, but we’re lucky to have such a talented lineup that we are guaranteed a great night.
