Bray Hunt Pony Club

Bray Hunt Pony Club Bray Hunt is a branch of the Irish Pony Club. We are based in north Wicklow and have 100 members There are sixty-two branches spread throughout the country.

The Bray Hunt Branch is a very active branch of the Irish Pony Club. We currently have about 140 members, mostly from the north Wicklow and south Dublin areas. The Irish Pony Club is the main equestrian organisation for providing training in all disciplines of equestrian activities in the Country. There are almost 4,000 members between six and twenty-three. We run activities to suit both the competitive member and non-competitive member. The objectives of the Irish Pony Club are the same today as they were when the Pony Club was first established and they are as follows:

To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with ponies and riding. To give instruction in riding and horsemanship and to educate members to look after and to take proper care of their animals. To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, and to create strength of character and self discipline. Get in touch via www.brayponyclub.com if you want to join.

Great weekend for the Brays at IPC eventing Championships. We were really well represented with people competing for the club in every category including 3 teams and 2 open riders. Well done to everyone who competed and so lovely to see everyone supporting each other.

Big congratulations to Emily Grimes who won the junior individual and our junior team of Sadie Orton Enily Grimes, Mark O Leary and Ailbhe Delahunty who were 5th. Also beth Dooley who was 2nd in intermediates and Alison Ennis was 6th in intro intermediate. Also Chloe Lalloo who placed 3rd in her arena after dressage. Thanks to Paul Kilbride, Hannah Bolger, Paul O'Leary and Jan Smith for course walks and warm ups.

A big day for the Brays yesterday as they completed in the UK Pony Club dressage championships. They made great memories and had a sad fairwell to Zara Kelly as she competed for the club for the last time.
