Athenry AC Founded in 2002 with 3 original members, the club has now grown to over 200 senior members with a separate Juvenile section.
Noted for its relaxed, open door policy the club has always welcomed new runners of all capabilities & gains a large number of new members yearly from the Fit4Life programme whilst still encouraging & assisting more accomplished athletes to achieve their goals. The club is a great supporter of local & national athletics, the maroon & white singlets are regularly seen pounding the roads around Galw

The heat will impact everyone at this evening’s 5k race in Craughwell. Very easy to overheat and suffer badly. Hydrate well all day, adjust your race pace accordingly and look after yourselves.
Water will be available at the finish line.
For post race cool-down, head to the community centre to discuss your 6 weeks of awesome running 😊 Tea, coffee & sandwiches will be available there for participants.
