Senshin Grand Prix Event 6 — last Sunday was another huge step forward for our athletes and programme.

A brilliant day of competition with strong performances, great intensity, and valuable experience gained across every division. It was great to see athletes challenging themselves, supporting each other, and continuing to raise standards on the mat.

Thank you to all athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers, and families who contributed to the day and helped make the event such a success.

The level keeps rising. Back to work.

Best of luck to the 50 judoka taking part in Event Two of our 206 Senshin Judo Team Grand Prix Series tomorrow in Athenry.

Development events like this play a vital role in building confidence, experience, and long-term progression on the tatami. They give our athletes the opportunity to test their skills, learn through competition, and continue growing.

We’re looking forward to a great day of judo. Fight hard, compete with respect, and enjoy the experience.

A huge thank you to the organisers of the Connacht Championships for delivering a fantastic event, and to all the clubs, competitors, officials, and referees who made the day such a positive experience for everyone involved.

It was great to see so much quality judo, strong sportsmanship, and respect shown across all age groups. Events like this are a real reflection of the strength of judo in the province and the community that supports it.

Well done to all of the Senshin Judo Team athletes who stepped onto the mat and represented themselves with pride. As coaches, we were especially pleased to see the team spirit and the values of judo on display throughout the day.

Thank you again to everyone who contributed to a great championship.

A solid weekend for our four athletes who travelled to Scotland to compete at the Scottish Open.

No medals on this occasion, but there were some good wins, competitive performances, and importantly really valuable experience gained at this strong event. Each contest provided clear learning points and progress.

It was also great to see so many Irish athletes travelling, and a pleasure to travel alongside the Connacht team.

This is an important part of the development process. We review, refine, and move forward.

Next up is the Danish Open in a few weeks. On to the next challenge.
