Great night had by our members at the longest pheasant presentation, as the 1st was midweek and the measuring was done Wednesday night we decided to have the celebrations last night which proved to be a huge success. Derek Gavin ran the raffle after the main events,
Darragh mac won it for the 2nd Year running, and Noel Murray was the vermin winner this year,
Lots of prizes then raffled off during the night.... Great to see everyone out and well do it all again soon

As the winter approaches and hunting seasons are here or on the way, we would like to take this opportunity to remind all members of our upcoming longest pheasant competition on the opening day, normal rules apply entries in PRIOR to the 1st, and FULLY PAID AND INSURED MEMBERS ONLY..

Well done to our A-team today Winning the Westmeath RGC shoot,
Also Noel Murray winning high gun with a great 48/50 on the day.
And Danny Reddin winning the side by side with a perfect 30/30,
The B-team finished 3rd overall.
Well done everyone representing us, and on to the leinsters and all ireland shoots now next month

Next Saturday sees our 2 teams entering the Westmeath RGC county clay target shoot, our A-team is captained by Conan Kelly, consisting of team mates Bob Devereux , Noel Murray,Keith Carroll and Dr Dan Reddin.
Our B-team is captained by Declan Murray, alongside Harry Waterstone, Ercus Fallon, Richard McDonagh and Mike Ward.

It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of one of our former early members, John O Brien was a great club man and a pure gentleman, he will be missed by all who knew him and we will remember him with great fondness within our club,

Great night in Dans Tavern where we held our annual longest pheasant competition, massive work was put into this night by members Derek Gavin and Michael Mcdonagh gathering prizes etc. Well done lads, measuring was done by chairman Bob devereux, pro Declan Murray and Derek Gavin,

2nd Martin Maccallon
3rd Éamon Mccormack
We had an added heaviest pheasant also and Dónal Wilson was the winner here,
Derek then took the floor and ran the competitors draw with more than "1 for everyone in the audience" as the photos show,

November 1st is coming around very quick, as normal we have our annual pheasant competition, entry fee is €5 per gun, entries can be paid in behind the Bar in Dan's Tavern,all entrants will also get free entry to the longest magpie competition, and each participant gets an entry into the raffle on the night with lots of spot prizes, look forward to seeing you all there,
Measuring will be in Dans Tavern up till 8:15pm with presentation soon after,
(paid up members only allowed)

A quick look back on our well-attended race night last weekend.
