Weight management is determined by calorie input and output ⚖️
To maintain, lose or gain weight;
Calorie input - the amount of calories we eat - has to be balanced correctly with Calorie output - the amount of calories expended through day to day activity and exercise.
When weight loss or weight gain is the goal, the deficit or surplus must be sustainable and repeatable to allow changes to take place over a long period of time.

⚖️ Good or Bad?
The weighing scales can be a useful tool when used correctly.
But the number on the scales does not always mean fat has been gained or lost. Several factors can lead to a sharp increase or decrease of the number on the scales.
To use the weighing scales correctly, we must standardise the process;
- Weigh at the same time (preferably morning)
- Under the same conditions
- Wearing the same clothing
Recommended to weigh multiple times per week, calculate the average weight and compare weekly!

Our private studio is fully equipped to meet all general training, sports specific training, prehabilitation and rehabilitation needs.
All sessions contain a maximum of 2 people and last 30 minutes.
Our mobile app (Real Training) is available from the App or Play store and handles all memberships and bookings.

In September of 2020, we moved to a private studio in the centre of Ballincollig, located at Unit 4 of Oldtown House on Main Street.
With a number of lockdowns in the mean time, only 8 working weeks have been completed in the new studio.
So it is with enormous relief that Monday marks the end of this lockdown and a return to business as usual.
Our doors will be open from 6am on Monday, looking forward to seeing you there!
