Ballincollig travelled to play Carraigaline A this Saturday morning in weather conditions that frankly "you wouldnt but the dog out in".
The first half was a cagey affair with Conor and Cian J going close a few times.
Second half and Ballincollig started to gain control with James Mooney drawing a fine save from the keeper.
Cian Jermey slotted in the first at the back post after great work by James O C and Conor to regain possesion from the Carrigaline defenders.
The second was a screamer with full back Dan O Leary leathering the ball in top corner from well outside the box .💪
A great win for the boys

The U14 boys took to the field on Saturday last the 17th of Oct in the Regional Park for their third league match after what has been a difficult start to the season. The tempo was set in the opening minutes with Lewis Berbecki causing problems for the visitors on the left wing. Several strong runs from Lewis in the opening minutes almost got us off to the perfect start. On the opposite side of the pitch, Carter was also at it ,running at the fullback and making a real nuisance of himself. Lewis continued his strong runs and was fouled on the edge of the box. Leo stepped up on the left hand side of the box. The angle and distance not a problem for him and he sent in a powerful, swerving shot that looped over the keeper and into the net. Great goal! This immediately pushed the boys confidence up a notch and it was Lewis once again tormenting the Park defence and came close to getting a second. The boys continued attacking with team Captain Jack Mac and Adam controlling the midfield battle, winning the ball and releasing passes wide for Lewis and Carter. Park did get through a rigid defence only to be stopped by a fantastic tackle from Ethan O'Mahony (good as a goal). Ethan alongside Ewan , Gavin and U13s Aidan Halpin were excellent throughout the half, keeping out anything that Park threw at them. Halfway through the first half seen the return from injury of Tom Long who slotted into the backline perfectly and made things harder for Park. Great to have you back Tom. You have been missed. Strong fighting from Jack and Adam in the middle once again set Carter free who stormed past the left back and whipped in a dangerous cross for Leo, who smashed it past the keeper for his second of the afternoon. This brought us into half time with a good lead.

The second half started with Park pushing to get back into the game only for the midfield and defence to once again stand firm. The introduction of Ben also brought more creativity and spark to the attack and he settled into the match instantly. Carter was once again set free on the right and raced towards the goal only for his shot to go over. The boys continued the attacks and came close again when Leos corner came off the bar. The string of attacks continued and a fast break and cross from Ben found the on running Carter to fire home the third. A well deserved goal for all his hard work. Halfway through the second half a quick passing move found Leo in the box who's first time shot found the bottom corner to complete his hattrick. Excellent performance. Late in the game Oisin Healy broke free and showed good strength to hold off the Park defender and get an effort on goal only for the keeper to save. Park did get a consolation late on which gave them confidence and had a series of shots from distance that were comfortably saved by Jack. Solid defence, Hard working midfield and great finishing gave us a good win and important 3 points.

Well done to the lads. Special thanks to Aidan and Ben from the U13s who joined us on Saturday. Both gave excellent performances. Onto the next one.

What a goal fest away to Corinthians in the sunshine this afternoon!
Ballincollig started brightly and put Corinthians under pressure from the first whistle. A superb free kick from Kaspian gave us a 1-0 lead after just five minutes. The lads continued to play with blistering attacking pace and raced into a 4-0 lead after only 16 minutes, thanks to goals from Cornel (8' and 11') and Alex C (16').
Momentum swung in Corinthians' favour for the next 15 minutes and they were rewarded with a goal to make it 4-1. Ballincollig had plenty of defending to do for the remainder of the first half, but a great break from Cornel saw him complete his hat-trick and restore our four-goal advantage at 5-1 on 31 minutes.
Corinthians finished the half strongly, scoring twice before the interval to leave the score at 5-3 at half-time.
The home side continued to apply pressure after the break and, despite some ferocious defending from Ballincollig, they scored three unanswered goals to take a 6-5 lead with 15 minutes remaining.
To their credit, Ballincollig never dropped their heads. The lads dug deep and continued to create chances going forward. Every player put their energy into turning the game around and, in the dying moments, Cornel got on the end of a fantastic pass to score his fourth goal of the game and level the match at 6-6 just before the final whistle.
In the end, we were perhaps fortunate to come away with a point after the way the second half unfolded, but it was also a game we could have put beyond reach much earlier. Regardless, we remain unbeaten in the league, and we're determined to keep that run going.
The standout positives today were the team's attitude, work rate, teamwork and discipline. It was fantastic to see the lads' never-say-die attitude right up to the final whistle.
All 14 players in the squad got valuable game time and made an important contribution to the team effort.
Well done, lads! 👏💪

Ballincollig travelled to Leeside A for their round of 32 fixture in the National Cup. Ballincollig were determined to start strong, and they were quickly rewarded for their efforts in the 2nd minute. Good Ballincollig pressure yielded a corner which was converted with a strong strike from Aaron O’Connell. The rest of the first half was evenly balanced with little in the way of chances for either side. The back line of Aidan, Noel, Harry and Aaron O’Donovan dealing with everything thrown at them. With a minute to go in the first half, Ross drove into space on the right wing before squaring the ball to the waiting Aaron O’ Connell who hit another sweet strike into the Leeside net to leave the Ballincollig 2 up at half time.
Ballincollig started the second half strongly and within seven minutes, quick thinking from Ross to play a corner short to Rory who then setup Aaron to score his deserved Hatrick! The Ballincollig mid field soaked up some pressure with Rory and Jack seeing a lot of the ball. Midway through the second half Eljay scored a fourth Ballincollig goal with an excellent shot from the edge of the box. In the final 10 minutes of the game Ballincollig continued to push on up the pitch and there was still time for Josh Smith and Josh Finn to be rewarded for their hard work with a goal each.
