We’re very proud of the small but mighty team of volunteers here in Ballymacarbry Scout Group 🌿
Every week, our Scouters and volunteers give their time to help young people build confidence, friendships, independence and life skills through adventure, challenge and fun. But the impact stretches far beyond our meetings and camps. Scouting builds community, leadership, resilience and lifelong memories for everyone involved, both young people and adults alike.
As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we want to say a genuine thank you to all of our volunteers, past and present, who help make our group what it is 💚
Our group continues to grow, and we are always happy to hear from people who might like to get involved, whether that’s helping regularly, occasionally, behind the scenes, or simply learning more about what we do. No previous Scouting experience needed, just a willingness to get stuck in and support young people.
If you’d like to learn more about Ballymacarbry Scout Group, feel free to send us a message 😊
This National Volunteer Week, we recognise the 10,000 volunteers who make Scouting Ireland what it is.
Volunteering is often described as giving your time, but it’s really about building something far bigger than yourself. Every week, our volunteers create spaces where young people can grow in confidence.
But Scouting also shapes the people who volunteer. Through supporting others, taking responsibility and working as part of a team, volunteers develop leadership skills, confidence, resilience and perspectives that carry into every part of their lives.
In Scouting, leadership and volunteering grow side by side.
To all our volunteers: thank you. The impact you have reaches far beyond the hours you give.
