Over the coming weeks, we want to see players in action and give as many girls as possible the opportunity to show what they can do. We will be looking at players involved in upcoming U16 and U18 games as we begin to build our 2027 Minor squad.
The 2027 Minor setup will once again be led by Ed Burke, current Carlow Ladies Senior Team Manager, providing a strong link between Minor and Senior football and a clear pathway for players to progress into the adult setup.
Last year, our Minor team reached a Leinster semi-final, and with that experience behind us, we believe this group has a fantastic opportunity to go even further in 2027. Our ambition is to win a Leinster title and build a team capable of competing for All Ireland honours. 🏆
We also saw the Senior pathway in action last year, with four Minor players involved with the Senior team and togging out for Carlow in Croke Park on All-Ireland Final day. Aswell as others making their Carlow Senior Debut throughout the year. A fantastic experience and one we want to see more of in the future.
The standard of Ladies Football in Carlow continues to rise, and 2027 is a great opportunity for this group to be part of that progress and to develop, compete, enjoy their football and, most importantly, have a real shot at winning something special. ❤️💛💚
