U13s away to Lisgoold
Lovely day in Lisgoold! Very proud of all the players for a fantastic effort and showing great skills today. Lisgoold put us under pressure from the start, and looked dangerous on the attack, but our girls worked really hard to keep out the scores and took their chances to come in ahead at half time. Lisgoold came out flying for the second half, scoring plenty of points and creating lots of goal chances. Emily kept them out with a string of brilliant saves and Rathpeacon took full advantage at the other end, with great teamwork leading to lots of goals and points from Sophie and Keelin.
It was a much tougher game than the score line suggested. The girls had to battle for every ball in the heat and be at their best in defence and attack. Our u13s were excellent again. Thanks a million to Rachel for chaperoning.

Well done to the Rathpeacon u14s who started their East Cork league with a win over neighbours Na Piarsigh on Tuesday.
Played in very windy conditions, Na Piarsigh led 4-3 to 0-0 at half time. With the aid of the breeze in the second half, Rathpeacon set about closing the gap with great determination. Some excellent teamwork and shooting saw them run out 6-5 to 4-5 winners in a very exciting game.

Lovely evening in Rathcormac for the U10/U9 LGFA girls in a blitz with Bride Rovers, Fermoy and Glanmire. Our girls did brilliantly in an event that was played and reffed in a great spirit. 🟦⬜️🏐
