A special evening in the history of Sundays Well RFC as we celebrated the end of one presidential term and welcomed a new chapter in the leadership of our club.
We extend our sincere thanks to outgoing President Liam Maher, whose heartfelt speech was a fitting reflection on a remarkable year for the club. Liam's words captured not only the achievements of the past season but also the spirit, dedication, and community that make Sundays Well RFC so special. We thank him for his leadership, commitment, and service throughout his term as President.
We are delighted to welcome Tommy O'Kelly as President of Sundays Well RFC for the 2026/27 season. Tommy shared a wonderful speech, reflecting on his long history with the club and outlining his ambitions for the future. His passion, pride, and vision for Sundays Well RFC were evident for all to see, and there is a real sense of excitement as we look ahead to the year under his leadership. Congratulations to Tommy and his family on this proud occasion.
We also congratulate Fintan Whelan on his appointment as Vice President and Donnacha Loftus on his appointment as Junior Vice President. Both have given tremendous service to the club over the years, and we have no doubt they will be a great support to Tommy throughout his presidency. Congratulations to Fintan, Donnacha, and their families on these well-deserved appointments.
The strength of any club lies in the people who give their time, energy, and passion to it. As one chapter closes and another begins, we look forward with confidence and optimism to the future of Sundays Well RFC.

We often talk about "The spirit of rugby", but yesterday it was truly in evidence. Most clubs have finished for the season, but 4 clubs opened their doors and their hearts yesterday for a small group of referees and rugby fans, who cycled 120 kms from Cork to Limerick. The "Whistle and Wheels" tribe set off from Official Sundays Well RFCl at 9am, stopped into Mallow RFC for some homebaking and coffee, had a full lunch break at Charleville & District Rugby Club and got a huge welcome from club members, family and friends in Garryowen Rugby Club. Grassroots rugby is where we find the spirit of rugby and its wonderful to see. Thanks to all for their support in raising much needed funds for the true heroes in Alzheimer's Society of Ireland.
