Happy Monday Tullovians, happened upon the falconry at Rathwood over the weekend and have to say, it was pretty brilliant! Even got to hold two owls and a hawk, or should I say, I held my hand out and they balanced perilously on it! and got to meet Gizmo, one of the world's smallest owl species. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Just a little reminder folks that RTE's Operation Transformation team are hitting Co. Carlow tomorrow (Saturday) at 10am. They will be in Carlow to film the county's 5km walk and everyone is welcome to attend. Carlow is one of just seven locations that they are filming in this year so let's dust off the old runners and join in! The walk leaves from the county council offices on the Athy Road, Carlow town. Let's get healthy!

Disappointing news for Tullow, but after three years Tullow Country Market have ceased trading. They've thanked everyone for their support. Hopefully some other group might take up the mantle - it would be a shame to lose such an amenity in the town.
