On Saturday May 2nd, 2026, I had the pleasure of delivering a keynote speech 'Reconceptualising Linguistic Repertoires in Neurodiverse Contexts: Insights from Neurolinguistics and Cognitive Psychology' at the 1st International Webinar entitled "Innovate and Integrate: Advancing Teaching & Learning English in the Digital Age" at the Instituto São João de Brito in Timor-Leste.

The event gathered interested professionals working in academia as well as all language enthusiasts who wished to enrich their knowledge on the above theme.

As an avid advocate for bridging communities through interdisciplinary approaches, professional linguist and holistic therapist, I integrate modern psycholinguistic and therapeutic features for facilitated dialogue.
The aim of this fusion is to foster inclusive communication and narrative while enhancing mutual understanding in building sustainable, diverse networks.

Thank you & See you at the next event!

Congratulations to all the participants of a two-part webinar titled 'Embracing Neurodiversity' who joined us for a fantastic learning experience on Saturday, April 25th, and Tuesday, April 28th, at the 21st Cork Lifelong Learning Festival.

It was such a pleasure to meet everyone, answer your interesting questions and share specialist insights into various aspects of neurodevelopmental conditions and specific learning differences that will undoubtedly help you to empower your learners, family members and communities.

Remodelling existing practices and implementing appropriate supports for all minds starts with better understanding of the "what," "why," and "how" behind neurodiversity. I am sure the participants feel more confident and better equipped with new knowledge, approaches and techniques that they can use now to create more inclusive learning spaces.

If you are new to the topic or missed the specialist sessions, you can tune in to the interview for LifeFM Cork (93.1 FM) in which I explain certain concepts of neurodiversity and talk about my work as a teacher therapist: https://lnkd.in/dddFjAWg

Thank you 💓
See you in another webinar!

Dear all 🌎,

Are you a lifelong learner? Remember, age is just a number! I encourage everyone to keep learning and take advantage of neuroplasticity 🧠

Not sure what topics you would like to explore? Think neurodiversity 💡

Working as an educational consultant, trainer, therapist and neurodiversity specialist, I have noticed gaps in general knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions and learning differences that students, parents/carers, teachers and even policymakers present.

"If you have a hammer, everything becomes a nail." In regard to neurodiversity, after doing a short course on, e.g. dyslexia, you may not see the bigger picture later and overgeneralise mislabelling some symptoms as dyslexia. (Always consult an accredited professional if in doubt).

In short, it is easy to feel smart about a fragmented topic (see the Dunning-Kruger effect). Having little knowledge can do more harm than good 🔔

Let us close the gaps.

The specialised online sessions on 'Embracing Neurodiversity' that I am offering during the 21st Cork Lifelong Learning Festival are now booked out, but I am adding a few extra spots to give a chance to those who have not seen the event information before.

We are meeting on:

✅ Saturday, April 25th, at 6:30pm (Ireland/UK time): https://lnkd.in/eJz7QRuS

✅ Tuesday, April 28th, at 8:00pm (Ireland/UK time): https://lnkd.in/etHEheAa

A certificate of participation will be issued for your CPD portfolio. 📜

Feel free to get in touch beforehand with an enquiry at [email protected] 📧

See you then!
Anna 😊
