After a tough group stage we finish 3rd in our group and secure 12th place overall — the final spot that qualifies for the Division 3 playoffs.

The season wasn’t easy, but this team kept fighting until the very end.

Now the real battle begins.

🏐🔥 Munster Cup Recap – 7–8 March 🔥🏐

What a weekend of volleyball! At the Munster Cup, the Sharks 🦈 finished in the Top 8 out of 15 men’s teams, even though we were not playing with our full squad.

The tournament had plenty of drama and big momentum swings 😅

In one of the group stage matches, we were leading 24:18 but somehow managed to lose the set 26:28… volleyball can be brutal sometimes 🥲

But the team showed incredible character later on 💪 During the playoff match for a place in the quarterfinals, we were down 6:17 and pulled off an amazing comeback to win 25:21 and move forward! 🚀🏐

Huge credit to everyone who played, fought for every point, and represented the Sharks this weekend 👏

Great spirit, great battles, and lots of great volleyball!

🚨 Match Update 🚨

Unfortunately, the game against Cork Volleyball Academy will not take place due to player illness within their squad.

According to league regulations, Sharks West Cork are awarded the victory by forfeit.

The final group stage match will therefore not go ahead.

We look forward to getting back on court soon.
