The fencing society is doing a demostration now by the MPC

Hi all. Just to remind you that the sign up day for societies is taking place on the 26th of this month, and would like to invite any newcomers to join the fencing society. Hope to see you all on the day.

I am glad to announce that on the 24th of November DKIT will be hosting the Vinnie Duffy Sabre competition. This competition will be open to all fencers across Ireland and will feature a men's and women's competition. I hope to see you all there to show us what you've got.

Team is on its way to Cork to compete at the 63rd Irish Inter-varsities.

DkIT Fencers represented at the East Of Ireland Fencing Competition on Saturday, the 11th of February for the 2nd Open Competition of 2017 which seen DkIT fencers making up about 20% of the total number of men sabre fencers who competed.

The clubs presence on the circuit is growing steady with club members competing in most of the calendar events.

The team that went, consisted of the clubs 3 most senior members, Fionn, Stephen, and Ziggy, who accompanied the two latest recruits of the club of this year, Oisin Murphy and Padraigh McEneaney.

Unfortunate seedings of the fencers rankings, after the preliminary rounds, resulted in two DkIT fencers drawing each other in the early Direct Elimination rounds, meaning one of them had to put the other out of the competition for the other to advance.

It was unlucky that the DkIT fencers Fionn and Padraigh had to come up against themselves for a chance at a medal, but everyone was fencing well and a fun day was had.
