With sorrow, the members of Donegal Bay Sub Aqua Club Search & Recovery mourn the passing of Mr. Patrick Doran, a cherished member of the Diving Community. During this difficult time, we extend our sincere condolences to Patrick’s family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and we hope they find solace in the cherished memories they shared with him.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the emergency services and volunteers who provided immediate and comprehensive support during this tragic incident. Their professionalism, dedication and compassion have been a great comfort to everyone involved.

For our Shore dive, let us introduce you to Malin Beg and its picturesque pier. Malin Beg is a hidden gem that promises serenity, stunning views, and a touch of magic!

🌿 Silver Strand Beach: A secluded beach with golden sands and crystal-clear waters, perfect for a snorkel or a refreshing swim. Silver Strand, also known as Tra Ban, is a crescent-shaped paradise surrounded by rugged cliffs.

🌊 The Pier – The pier at Malin Beg is a quaint, charming structure jutting out into the azure waters. The contrast of the man-made pier against the wild beauty of the Atlantic is simply mesmerizing. Divers will enjoy a 12 metre dive at high tide.

In just two days, Donegal Bay Sub Aqua Club Search & Recovery members kicks off the North West Dive Rally on Saturday, 22nd & Sunday 23rd June! 🗓️🌟 We can't wait to welcome divers from all over the Country and beyond! 🌍💦

Points to note; 🏞️🤿 Registration for the weekend starts Friday from 3-7pm & 8.30am on Saturday. First dives 10.30am onwards 🕒✅

Don't forget to register for dinner with Rusty Mackerel on Saturday - spaces are almost full! 🍽️ PM us for details, if you haven't already! 📩
