Earlier this year, while Mark was back in Hawaii and I was in Dublin, I sent him a link to a ring from my favorite Hawaiian jewelry store.
I hadn’t worn my engagement sunrise shell pendant since leaving the island and thought it would be something special to wear in its place.
He told me he didn’t have time to go look at it, but he had friends on Maui secretly help him get it…because I always check our credit card statements.
And because he knew I’d repack his bag once he got back to Ireland (with only a couple days before our ferry to Anglesey), he hid the ring in a tennis ball and the paperwork under the insole of his shoe😂
Then during our stay in Northern Wales, while out exploring a castle with friends, they offered to take some photos of us.
As we walked toward them for candid shots, Mark stopped to “tie his shoe”😉 and I (being a goofball) started pretending to knight him…when he all of a sudden pulls out the ring💍
I was completely shocked, like full brain shutdown. He was on one knee for what felt like forever, holding the ring up while I tried to process what was happening.
It was a moment I’ll never forget❤️

Jen and I decided…
we’re no longer vegan.
This wasn’t an easy decision.
But after slow traveling across Europe and really listening to our bodies… we realized something was missing.
MEAT!
And honestly…we’ve never felt better.
We hope you respect our decision during this transition.
